For more than 25
years Denis has been involved in ministering to the Body of Christ in a variety
of ways. At first as a
committed Christian in open-air work and in nursing homes in England, then after
moving to Australia he rose through the "ranks of the local assembly" to
become a Pastor and then pioneer pastor in several churches in both country and city churches in NSW,
and Canberra, Australia. He has
consistently held a strong missionary concern and was involved for a number of
years as a representative of OMS Australia, a missionary society. This
involvement laid a firm foundation in his life for missionary work and he later
went with his wife Rosalind to Papua New Guinea as a missionary for
approximately 2 years as the Principal of Lighthouse Bible College in Madang.. In churches,
seminars, camps, Bible colleges, open air crusades and services in Australia and
in several other countries Denis has always presented a vibrant and
challenging message to the heart of the hearer. He
has started
several works including home fellowships, churches, bible colleges, ministries
to orphanages and nursing homes. For 12 years he was the presenter of his own
radio program "The Gospel and Music" on a community radio station in
Sydney NSW and later hosted a regular weekly Gospel Radio program on a Friday
for 2 hours in the afternoon. He is the author
of a book "The Blood Covenant of God", a work used in several bible
colleges around the world, in a number of denominations. With a strong
desire to see the word of God taught effectively and with a deep personal
commitment to the principal that the "word and the Spirit will do the
work" he has worked effectively in several Bible Colleges in Australia and
Papua New Guinea fulfilling roles from lecturer through to administrator and
Principal. A committed
Pentecostal by experience and persuasion he has always held a strong respect for
the platform from which he has had the privilege to minister from, thus enabling
him to minister in many churches and Christian groups regardless of persuasion or
denomination. Today, Denis has a deep concern for teaching to the body of Christ in the local churches particularly in rural settings. He will go anywhere where his ministry is required and has travelled and ministered so far from Nottingham in the United Kingdom where he was born to Australia where he now lives then to New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Africa, Egypt, Myanmar, India, Thailand and Vietnam Denis
is the Senior
pastor of his church "the Word Christian Fellowship" a church of the
Foursquare Gospel that he pioneered Although able to
teach on a wide variety of subjects and issues he is well versed in such
subjects as the Blood Covenant, Spiritual Authority, the Power of Christ in the
believer, God's provision for His people in His work, and many other topics. |
